Bush bailed out the banks

Let's make this clear; the election was in November, 2008, and President Obama took office in January, 2009.

The $700 billion for the bankers came from Bush.

The banks were about to fail. So, Bush threw money at the problem.

Look at the stock market for the last two years.

It started going back up in 2009.

And yet, some republicans still want you to think that President Obama is ruining the economy.

but Lieberman already has health care

So why should he care? In fact, he doesn't.

So embarrassing that he was Al Gore's running mate! It's as bad as Palin!

He used to be in the Democratic party, then this happened:

Subsequently, this:

Then he lost the Democratic nomination for Senate. We are still stuck with him, however, as he won the general election as an independent.

He is planning to filibuster like a republican. Does anyone remember when the republicans wanted to get rid of the filibuster? Four whole years ago.

Now Lieberman is another member of the "die quickly" republican party.

2012 end of world

i guess everyone forgot about y2k. It was supposed to be the end of the world and people were buying guns and canned goods and getting survivalist training.

It turned out to be a Microsoft bug. They sold a lot of new computers and then folks were disappointed because nothing else happened.

So, now it is an old Mayan calendar, with a similar kind of bug. The calendar doesn't handle dates after a certain point.

Isn't this a little like saying that the world is going to end after December 31, because this year's print calendar ends? Just look! There are no dates after December! Get some canned food! Move into a bunker!

You might want to steer clear of the uneaten y2k food; it probably expired. The good news is, replacing all of that canned food will probably be good for the economy. Still no telling when you'll be able to shoot off the rest of the y2k ammunition, though.

My printer is printing garbage! Random letters, numbers and characters.

you need to clear the Microsoft printer spool

The Microsoft knowledge base article "Fix printing problems by resetting the print spooler" (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2000007), includes a related Microsoft FixIt application.

To clear the printer spool, you must stop the Microsoft printer spool service, then restart the printer spool service. The following instructions describe how to accomplish this manually.

Click the Start menu, look for My Computer, right click My Computer, then from the menu select "manage".

This will open Microsoft Computer Management. Look on the left hand side for "Services and Applications", it is at the bottom of the list. Click the plus sign next to it to open Services and Applications. Look under it for "Services".

Now look in the box on the right hand side, for Print Spooler. You have to scroll down to find it. Right click "Print Spooler". Select stop from the menu. After it finishes stopping, right click print spooler again and select "Start". You may have to click on the desktop before you can right click print spooler again.

Now your print spool should be clear and the printer won't try to print garbage.

republican forced vaccinations and concentration camps

The republicans had planned on putting people into concentration camps. They were going to require health insurance and penalize people who didn't have any.

The plan was; require health insurance, then everyone who still didn't have health care were to be labeled "diseased". Then the diseased were to be punished by isolating them in camps.

So, if you couldn't afford the mandatory health insurance, you were to be put into a concentration camp for the diseased.

That is why the republicans were so afraid that they were going to be put into concentration camps. The republicans had it all set up, and they would have done it to us, so they feared that we would do the same to them. They ignored the fact that the Democratic Party would never do something like that. It was what the republicans would have done.

The policy is reflected in the "let them die" republican philosophy. There are some vestiges of the policy in the form of required flu shots. Since the Democratic Party controls the country, required flu shots were not implemented.

If the republicans had won, it would have been "FLU SHOTS REQUIRED" on every grocery store, and people who didn't get the shot would have been arrested. Since those people are "sick", they would not have gone to a regular jail, but instead special camps set up by republicans for the emergency of a flu epidemic. Everyone who risked spreading the disease by refusing to buy health insurance and refusing the required shots would be put into the isolation camps.

Reagan set up the camps. Oliver North defended them as a precaution against a future emergency, and Bush set it up so that the next president could start sending people to the camps.

Only the Democratic Party won, and the current president won't send people to concentration camps. We lucked out. If it had been the Republicans, health insurance would be mandatory and people who didn't have insurance would be convicted and incarcerated in concentration camps.

Republicans are Communists

They only employ party members. In government, republicans create contracts that enrich party members. They exclude people based upon ideology.

Republicans won't pay taxes. They use fraudulent accounting and foreign banks to hide income.

Republicans take money from people, and won't give any back. The money goes to party members in the form of no-bid contracts. There is no requirement of performance. The republicans get paid without performing work.

The republicans are like the Soviets, where the means of production is controlled by the party elite. The economy suffers as the elite refuse to work.

They republicans borrow money from communist China in order to give it to republican bankers.

Republicans change business regulations so that party members can monopolize economic necessities like electric power.

The republicans weep when they hear that someone might get help with a mortgage, but cheer when money is wasted, so long as some portion of it was acquired by a party member.

The only defense they can offer for themselves is that they "fight" communism. But in reality, they emulate all of its worst aspects.

I can't get to the pictures on an xD-PictureCard!

Unfortunately, this is another case of corporate proprietary technology that simply won't work. This time, Olympus and Fuji produced cameras for awhile which used the xD-PictureCard type of memory card. Now, they switched over to a standard format, SD and MicroSD, which effectively means that the older cameras are obsolete.

What really sucks is that you didn't find this out before you took years worth of pictures. The bad news is, most card readers for xD just won't work. They might go as far as offering for format the card, but that will only erase all of your pictures.

One time, i had some luck using a 17 in 1 USB cardreader, which actually had the xD format on it. Alas, that is probably a thing of the past, since new card readers probably won't even offer xD as a format. You might look for a used one on eBay, but the odds are that you will buy one that says it is for xD, but your computer still won't recognize it.

Blame Fuji or Olympus, they were unable to comply with computer standards, so your camera was a rip-off. You might try Googling for an answer, but let me assure you after having tried; You will need to be a computer genius to understand the first thing. Even if you are a computer genius, the best you will do is to understand fully why i say that the technology is obsolete and that the computer won't recognize the xD format.

Still reading? xD is an emoticon; x is squeezed eyes and the D is a laughing mouth. i didn't find it funny, but i will avoid Olympus and Fuji cameras from now on..

My teacher doesn't know anything about an Apple Mac!

Are you stuck in a class where the teacher uses Windows, but says it's ok if you use an Apple Mac? Then, you try to follow the instructions, but they don't work? Then when you ask the teacher about it he says it works on Windows, that's all the teacher knows. Then i guess you are expected to throw away your Mac and start again with a new Windows?

Or, you could learn some things that the teacher won't. Extremely difficult things that if you learn them will allow you to follow Windows instructions, but use your Mac.

Why are the things so difficult? Because Microsoft uses proprietary technology and has designed it so that it won't work with a Mac. They are competing against Apple and they want to kill it forever.

There are five convoluted steps to making the transition from Windows to Mac.

1) The ctrl keys are completely different. They do not do the same things, in fact, they are so dissimilar that you might not even believe they could be so different. On Mac, ctrl is held down during mouse clicks. On Windows, ctrl behaves like a Mac command key.

2) The command keys are totally different. On a Mac, the command key is held down for shortcuts, doing the same thing as the Windows ctrl key, (convolutedly confusing? Yes. Microsoft wants you to throw away your Apple). On Windows, the start button is uselessly redundant (it brings up the Start menu), but it looks a lot like the Mac command key.

3) The Option key is only on a Mac, giving you an Apple menu, but can cause confusion when compared to Windows right-click. They aren't the same. Windows doesn't have a options key. The menu from a Windows right-click is the same as holding ctrl down during a mouse click. Microsoft is confusing you on purpose. They want you to get rid of your Mac.

4) The Apple mouse only has one key. You don't right click. There is no such thing on a Mac. Hold down ctrl while you click with the mouse button instead.

5) On an Apple Mac, when you want to eject the CD or remove a flash memory card, move the icon into the Trash. Microsoft wants you to trash the Apple, so they called theirs the Recycle Bin. Apple Trash is so completely different from Windows Recycle Bin that you might not even believe they could be so different. The little icon looks the same, though. Really, you should read up on the difference. It is so convoluted and confusing that it really needs it's own field of study.

To summarize, it is possible to switch from a Windows to a Mac, but you will have a lot of trouble. Just remember, when people tell you they are the same, it is because they never use a Mac. Apple computers are easy, unless you have to use Windows for some reason. If you must use Windows, prepare for it to be confusing. Good luck, and maybe someday there will be computer classes for Apple students.
